Shoot 15: Shafts of light

Image
LEARNINGS AND OBSERVATIONS  In this assignment we were briefed that we were supposed to notice interesting shafts of lights and how the light reflections and refractions can make any random thing a great subject. Here I tried to look at light as it was the main subject and not any materialistic thing. I enjoyed this assignment as I found some really interesting compositions to capture the sunlight.  EXPLORATIONS

Shoot 13: Exploring perspective

ANT LEVEL  EYE LEVEL HIGH LEVEL LEARNINGS AND OBSERVATIONS:  In this assignment, it was a quick shoot where we told to photograph the subject from different angles to understand the kind of mood that subject might present.  I learnt that photographing the same subject from different angles, will help me to show the different qualities of that subject and help me highlight certain parts or certain features of the subject.  EXPLORATIONS

Shoot 12: Exploring types of shots with context to distance

CLOSE SHOT  MID SHOT  WIDE SHOT LEARNINGS AND OBSERVATIONS  This assignment taught me how to use these variations of shots to emphasize on the subject or how to show the environment of the subject which would help add value to the subject.  I learned when is the close, mid or wide shot needed and in what circumstances. If I want to focus on the activity of that person, I would choose to take a close up show with more emphasis on the activity.   EXPLORATIONS

Shoot 10: Exploring ISO

To achieve that, we took photographs in Manual mode where we achieved perfect exposure with changing the shutter speed and aperture but keeping the ISO constant.  I learned how to handle the manual mode as well as the importance of the triangle of exposure, that is, how The shutter speed, The ISO and the aperture can help to achieve the perfect exposure.  While also keeping in mind the previous learnings of Compositi...
